Learning to Live 'Life in all its Fullness'

Year 6

At St. Peter's, we believe in delivering a broad and balanced curriculum - one that enables 'Life in all its Fullness'.  At the start of their journey in Year 6, our children will voyage back in time to the Age of the Anglo-Saxons as they uncover ‘Are Values from the past still relevant today?’.  At the start of their project timeline, our Year 6 children will participate in their very own ‘Saxon Festival’, immersing them in the history and culture of the Anglo-Saxons through drama and the arts – and the making of their own Rune.  As the children voyage on, they will gain a rich insight into Saxon life, helping to draw their own conclusions about values past and present, bringing together their project learning ‘in all its fullness’.  An exciting journey awaits – with stories from the past and tales of today presented through a museum gallery and campfire experience, marking the end of their Saxon adventure!
