Welcome to our Latest News page - a place for you to see how we are learning and living 'Life in all its Fullness' at St. Peter’s Church of England Junior School.
Humphrey has passed his School Dog training and we are so proud of his report.
“Humphrey is a very friendly and polite dog, he loves people especially children and looks to build happy relationships with everyone. His polite manner makes him perfect for his role as a school dog”.
Our boys' and girls' football teams played their first matches of the year against SFJS today. All teams were a real credit to both schools - and a great example of our value of collaboration.
Introducing our beautiful artwork, proudly displayed around the school. Through our art design curriculum, children embark on a learning journey, carefully aligned to the wider project. For further information, please visit our art page, which can be found under the curriculum tab.
Today was Polling Day for our Eco Schools, Science Ambassadors and School Council student leader roles. Each class got to vote in a real voting booth, supported by Councillor Callum. Humphrey, our school dog, loved all the campaign posters.
We are proud to be supporting World Mental Health Day. The World Health Organisation recognises World Mental Health Day on 10 October every year. The theme of 2022's World Mental Health Day, set by the World Federation for Mental Health, is 'Make mental health and wellbeing for all a global priority'.
Every class is studying geography this half term as part of our ‘life in all fullness’ curriculum projects. Our classrooms feature a project display and topic related books. For more information about our geography curriculum, please visit the curriculum page of our website.
Our RE classroom features a ‘Life in all Fullness’ reflection tree, enabling children to think about our vision in action as part of their learning. Our tree is updated all through the seasons - a lovely reflection of our growth and development as a whole school community.
Join us for Optimistic October with ‘Action for Happiness’ and find positive ways to move forward towards your goals.
