This afternoon, our Year 4 children visited the Chapel at Salesian College as part of their RE learning. Thank you to Father Pat for making us feel so welcome.
This half term, we are focusing on 'Healthy Me' as part of our Relationships Education - supporting children to understand and develop their mental health and wellbeing. With thanks to our work in partnership with CAHMS, we are proud to share our new posters, which provide inspiration as the children enjoy our beautiful school grounds.
Everyday this week, our Science Ambassadors are leading lunchtime experiments as part of British Science Week. Today, the children enjoyed ice fishing - exploring the impact of salt and string!
Over lunchtime, our Science Ambassadors led an outdoor investigation involving water absorption. Our children grew their own rainbows - developing their engagement with the British Science Week theme of connections.
Our celebration of British Science Week was launched this morning with an assembly led by our student science ambassadors. Our library features a themed display and our science ambassadors led the first of their lunchtime experiments as we explore the theme of connections this week.

This morning, Year 4 made Viking Longboats, which they later got to sail.
Yesterday evening, the children joined a Viking wedding and were fully immersed in the legendary adventure of Thor and Loki. A magical evening of drama, costume & storytelling.
This afternoon, Year 4 enjoyed a range of Viking crafts and the opportunity to learn new skills, including weaving, jewellery making and the method of wattle and daub. As the rain began to pour, the children were immersed in a Viking story retelling back in the roundhouse.
This morning, Year 4 etched their names in clay - using Viking runes to craft each letter. A life in all fullness adventure
