Ain't no mountain high enough!

Year 6 enjoyed a hook lesson to start their term, linked to their enquiry question: 'Can a mountain ever be too big to climb?'

The children made prayer flags inspired by the ones which can be seen by climbers trekking through the Himalayas.

Year 6 will be studying the text 'Everest'  by Alexandra Stewart and Jo Todd-Stanton this term, which follows the true story of Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary as the first explorers to conquer Everest.

This is a great way to start our climb towards our new knowledge goal this term– onwards and upwards!
