INSET Days
INSET days are formally called in-service training days, which include training, planning and other duties for staff. They form part of the school holiday allocation as they are not part of the 190 days on which a child has to attend school, but are taken from the published term dates as they are different dates for every school.
We consult with our neighbouring infant/junior schools before finalising these each year to be consistent where we can, although this is not guaranteed due to the needs of each school.
