Our School Dog

Meet Humphrey, our school dog!

Hello, my name is Humphrey and I am a miniature labradoodle, born in November 2020.  My Dog Mum is a miniature labradoodle and my Dog Dad is a miniature poodle.  My Human Mum is Mrs Mynott, the School Business Manager at St. Peter's Church of England Junior School. 🐾

When I'm not in school, I live with Mrs Mynott and her family, including three other dogs, a cat and two giant rabbits!  I love to play chase with the other dogs at home, especially with Nova, who is a golden retriever and my big sister!  I am also a much-loved member of the St. Peter's family, who welcomed me into school from eight weeks old. 🐾

I'm famous and an award winner as well.  I have been on ITV Meridian, BBC South Today and featured in the local newspaper twice.  I recently won Best in Show out of more than 300 dogs at Dogfest a really big dog show.

You can see footage of my media appearances further down the page.

I love to play with the children, listen to them read and look at their work.  I have been on a school trip to Butser Ancient Farm and attended a church service.  I had great fun at the recent Jubilee Colour Run. I am very happy.

When the children dress up for themed days, so do I.

I have a lovely home in the office, where I can greet visitors and meet the children and staff walking past throughout the day.  I especially love to greet all the children at the gate in the morning.  I have a cosy bed and my own personalised blanket!  I am also fed fresh chicken by the dinner ladies every day!  I am very loved. I can't wait to meet, play and work with you all.
