    We are very proud of these beautiful beach collages, created by our Year 4 children as part of their project ‘What makes the UK a good place to explore’! The children have worked on these masterpieces over the half term, building on their designs week by week - starting with the painting of the sea and the creative design of their collage effect.

    Introducing our Year 6 portraits! This half term term, our children have been considering ‘Are values from the past still relevant today’ and their thoughtful portraits are a such a creative interpretation and expression of their own characters.

  • Fundraising

    Thank you for supporting our ‘house shaped’ biscuit sale, helping to raise funds to rebuild a house in The Gambia, West Africa. Our children showed such beautiful kindness with their lovely appreciation and generosity, with so many children offering to donate their change. Such a shining example of our community working and joining together. Thank you to our kitchen team for making the delicious biscuits and for all the support from our children and families  - an impressive £166.25 was raised!

    We are very proud of our Year 5 children, who have created these beautiful pastel sketches as part of their space project. This half term, our Year 5 children have been considering ‘Is it right to explore a place where no human has ever been?’ Their art work captures the beauty, awe and wonder of space - leaving us to question whether it’s a place that should be left undisturbed.

    Next week, we will be hosting our 'house biscuit sale', helping to raise funds for the house project in The Gambia, West Africa.  Thank you to our kitchen team for making all the biscuits - such a lovely example for our Value of Service and a wonderful example of our community in action.

    Each week, we encourage the children to reflect on their 'life in all fullness' achievements.  What are you most proud of and why?  Which of our values have you shown and how?  This week, we are feeling proud of the writing outcomes on display in our classrooms - a lovely example of our Value of Celebration.

     

  • Young Fundraisers

    In our year group assemblies this week, we have invited our children to reflect on 'what makes a house a home?' - with the launch of a fundraising appeal to re-build a family home in The Gambia, West Africa.  We invite the children to consider ways they might be able to raise a little money at home to help support this home, badly destroyed by recent rains.
