Welcome to our Latest News page - a place for you to see how we are learning and living 'Life in all its Fullness' at St. Peter’s Church of England Junior School.
A joy to be together for our Harvest Service! Thank you to the children for leading us in celebration and reflection through their heartfelt, joyful singing and their year group contributions. Year 3 shared the words of ‘Lord of the Harvest’ through performance poetry while Year 4 demonstrated the power of sharing through their drama retelling. Year 5 performed a dance to a ‘Love Song to the Earth’ reminding us of our job to keep it safe. Thank you to Year 6 for narrating the whole service, helping us to reflect on the gifts we have in our lives and the gifts we can share with others.
Wow, look at our amazing Year 6 writing based on the book Journey by Aaron Becker. Each class has embarked on their own writing journey, adding text to this enchanting picture book. Year 6 have brought new life and adventure through their narrative descriptions in role as the little girl.
At the end of our RE units, children have time to consider how they might live their lives differently in response to their learning and our vision of ‘Life in all Fullness’. For more details of our RE curriculum in action, please visit our new website page! You can find our RE page under the Curriculum tab of Key Information.
Year 5 had an awe-inspiring visit to Winchester Science Centre, discovering and learning about space exploration and light. An exciting hook event at the start of their space themed project ‘Is it right to explore a place where no human has ever been’.
Year 3 have been experimenting with different techniques using paint. For more pictures of our artwork, please visit our Art and Design page, which can be found via the curriculum page of our website.
We believe in ‘Life in all its Fullness’ - even at lunchtimes! Here are some of the fun and fabulous activities that have been on offer to the children this week! A joy to see them playing so happily together.
A warm welcome to St. Peter's Junior School - we look forward to meeting you at our upcoming open day events.
Our assembly theme this half term is Hope. What things do you hope for this school year? How can we bring the hope of 'Life in all its Fullness' to all members of our local and global community? For so long, we shared the hope of being back together as a whole school community and it has been a real joy to watch the children join together in reflection, discussion and celebration during our assembly times.
A warm welcome to the new school year and a new season of ‘Life in all its Fullness’ adventures! Even Humphrey, our school dog, had a first day of school photograph taken on the doorstep!
