    Thank you P&G Wells (Independent Bookshop in Winchester) for providing us with such an amazing book fair, helping to inspire children’s book choices and raise the profile of our recommended reading lists. A diverse and dazzling display of books, with great promise of rich reading adventures!

  • Science Fair

    Our celebration of British Science Week finished with a fantastic Science Fair, hosted by  our Science Ambassadors and volunteers from the wider world of Science. In support of the ‘Smashing Stereotypes’ campaign, our children embraced the opportunity to learn about the diverse range of science and engineering roles available to them in the future through team challenges and practical activities. Thank you to all the adults for making this event possible and for bringing science to life! 

  • Comic Relief

    In support of Comic Relief, our children dressed up in their own clothes (Humphrey, our school dog too!) and our kitchen made red nose biscuits! Some of our children wore superhero costumes in recognition of our local heroes, who support those in need.

  • Science Week - Growth

    Look at the awe and wonder in our Year 3 children, fully immersed in their British Science Week investigations! In keeping with this year’s theme of growth, the children were fascinated to discover and learn about the process of chromatography and absorption - used to create and grow their own paper flowers!

    Our Science Ambassadors love to lead lunchtime experiments - not just in @ScienceWeekUK but all through the year! To celebrate the #BritishScienceWeek2022 theme of growth, the children grew their own rainbows!

  • Science through Reading

    We are proud to be celebrate British Science Week through our reading provision! Our amazing librarian has created this engaging display to help encourage our children to choose a science related book this week.

     

    Year 6 are also using science as a key driver for their writing this term, reading the beautiful edition of Charles Darwin's On The Origin of Species by Sabina Radeva to inspire their own creations.
