Welcome to our Latest News page - a place for you to see how we are learning and living 'Life in all its Fullness' at St. Peter’s Church of England Junior School.
Wishing all our families and friends a happy, restful Easter. Humphrey, our school dog, came to school dressed as a lamb today! A lovely way to wish us a happy Easter!
A joy to welcome the ‘meet and eat’ group from St. Peter’s Church for an Easter afternoon tea. Our school choir performed three songs and distributed Easter gifts- lovingly made by every child in the school. A very special afternoon, which brought ‘life in all fullness’ to all.
Thank you to our kitchen team for our lovely Easter lunch. We especially loved our Easter bunny biscuits!
Thank you to our Year 4 children for their leadership of an African inspired craft market. All of the items were handmade by the children as part of their Africa based project - what jobs have the biggest impact both locally and globally? All the money raised will go towards a community project in The Gambia, West Africa - a great example of our value of service.
As part of our Easter Pause Day, every class made an Easter themed decoration for St. Peter’s Church. As part of our reflection time, every child also made a special gift, which will form part of an Easter gift bag for local, elderly residents. A lovely example of our strategic vision ‘to be a beacon within our community’.
Thank you to our Parent’s Association, Friends of St Peter’s (FOSP) for funding and enabling the following activities and resources. A lovely example of our vision for ‘life in all its fullness’.
Thank you to our kitchen team for hosting our Year 5 parent lunch. A lovely example of our community ethos.
Today, Year 6 visited London Zoo as part of their project - can a small change make a big difference? A wonderful example of our vision in action as the children made links to their science and English work connected to Charles Darwin. The children discovered many new species just like Darwin!
Today, we welcomed Beatbox Collective into school for an engaging and inspiring workshop, focused on the infinite sounds we can make with our voices.
Thank you to all our volunteers for bringing the world of science into school today. Our celebration of British Science Week culminated in our very own Science Fair - with local representatives from a range of science backgrounds. Our hall was filled with curiosity and wonder!
