  • Lunchtime Leadership

    Thank you to our Play Leaders for their lunchtime leadership today. Following their recent meeting with Miss Taylor and Miss Stiff, the children have enjoyed planning and designing an obstacle course for the whole school to enjoy over our staggered lunchtimes. Today, the children set up and led the first of their obstacle courses - even the local cat joined in!
  • No Pens Day

    The children at St. Peter’s Church of England Junior School have enjoyed participating in ‘No Pens Day’ today! School was alive with a buzz of talk!  Highlights have included group debates, drama, poetry and a cosy reading session with hot chocolate and book talk in our new outdoor classroom!

  • Schools in Communities

    This year, the staff and children of St. Peter’s Church of England Junior School are participating in an exciting project called ‘Schools in Communities’ with Whole Education. As part of this project, we are working in partnership with St. Peter’s Church to identify community groups our children can support and serve in their new role as Service Leaders. We have some exciting projects in store, including plans to help with the Food Bank and a project with the elderly community. 
  • Children In Need

    Thank you for all the donations that came into school today, in support of Children in Need. The vision of Children in Need is that ‘together we can change lives across the UK’. Together, our children created Pudsey Bear out of their loose change, helping to raise money for this charity. We are delighted to share that the children of St. Peter’s Church of England Junior School have raised an impressive £170.78! 
  • Year 3 Hook Day

    Our Year 3 children enjoyed a fun-filled day at the start of their next project: Are all Volcanoes the Same?  An action packed day, including volcano building and a virtual presentation with real life stories linked to the story of 'The Firework Makers Daughter'.  What an explosive start to their topic!  
  • Remembrance

    This morning we gathered together in stillness, silence and reflection, marking the two minute silence at 11.00am in remembrance of others.  Our Year 6 children led us in the words of 'we will remember them' and the Last Post was played.  Throughout the morning, our children engaged with remembrance through poetry and art, sharing thoughtful reflections and beautiful outcomes.
